We adore Matcha and for this reason we focus on providing a product of the highest quality.

JUJI is a Ceremonial Grade Matcha exclusively cultivated and harvested in the renowned region of Uji, where production is highly limited. Matcha from this area is regarded as the finest and most sought-after in Japan. The young leaves are meticulously picked, selecting only the best young leaves from the top of the first spring harvest. These leaves are then ground using traditional heavy stone mills.

The vibrant green hue of JUJI Matcha is entirely natural, reflecting its superior quality.

Understanding Matcha Lumps

There's a common misconception about matcha lumps. Many 'experts' on forums attribute them to humidity or other factors affecting quality. In reality, these lumps are due to the static generated during stone grinding, which is actually a good sign! If your matcha doesn't have any lumps, it might not be stone-ground. Some tea farms use machines or ball mills to boost productivity, but these methods often result in an inferior product.

Palate Notes

The flavour profile includes umami, sweet and nutty notes, creating a rich and complex taste. With a velvety smooth texture, decadent aroma, and creamy consistency, JUJI Matcha offers a multi-sensory experience in every cup.

Upkeep

Matcha is best kept in a dark, cool and dry place sealed off from air access.

We do not recommend transferring high quality matcha to glass jars, as this can dull its colour, lose its taste and diminish some of the powerful health benefits.

Matcha can oxidise quickly, once opened we recommend consuming within 1-2 months.
